Eclat de Mode presents « La belle est venue » Artist’s exhibition by Dognin Paris



Wigs were must-have fashion accessories in Ancient Egypt. Wearing a wig wasn’t something to be ashamed of. On the contrary, people went to a great deal of trouble to design their wigs, which also indicated a person’s social class.


Dognin gives the archetypal Egyptian wig a new twist with this one-off piece. This entirely hand-made wig uses leather, the brand’s favourite material, for the base. The “hair” is made of dyed leather strips, which are braided and then decorated with pearls and seed beads.
