Stable numbers of high calibre visitors

BIJORHCA PARIS, held from Friday 19 to Monday 22 January 2018, welcomed almost 12,000 visitors, 29% travelling from outside France, to meet 309 exhibitors, 52% of them international.
Once again, the trade show confirmed its position as an international event for professionals in the jewellery trade. Visitors travelled from 95 countries, and 7 more nationalities attended in January 2018 than in January 2017.
Of the regular 10 countries with the highest representation, four marked a significant increase: Portugal (+24%), the US (+22%), the Netherlands (+16%) and the UK (+12%).

This edition welcomed visitors of a high calibre, with numbers remaining stable. There was also a significant increase in the number of purchasing managers attending, thanks primarily to the development of the VIP programme. Continuing last September’s trend, the number of online retailers attending also grew by an impressive 45% compared to the January 2017 figure, accompanied by a larger number of wholesalers and importers (+15%). The bulk of the attendees were, as usual, fashion and precious jewellery retailers, high street outlets and gift shops, with designers and originators mainly there to check out the season’s trends.
